Queen Stinky Rules!
Tuesday, 19 October 2010 17:00

By Patricia A. Murphy

My favorite part of this lyric memoir is how the child takes her power, resists the rule of adults, protests abandonment and does all this without violence. She just refuses to take a bath and becomes Queen Stinky. The most tender scene is when Queen Stinky finally consents to be bathed by her new mother. Loss and healing. Betrayal and coming home. It's all there for the enjoyment and enlightenment.
