|A Los Angeles Childhood - Have Any of You Got A Cure?|

Have any of you had laryngitis for a really L o n g time and found a cure? I've had it for going on five months. I've seen the ENT twice, had two scopes--first time polyps, second time, two months later, polyps gone. Zantac or damn luck. Now I'm on Prilosec two times a day, silent acid reflux, maybe. I am taking Dr. Zhao's wonderful Chinese herbs, which were changed to stronger ones two days ago.
My friend Judy tells me about a woman on Channel 7 news who was "cured." She had what the doctor from Cleveland Clinic called “Functional Dysphonia”. I talk with a speech therapist from Albuquerque today. She has never heard of massaging the throat resulting in the problem going away and a mother speaks to her children and her husband for the first time in four months. From a whisper to a roar. I'm off to Paris in three weeks where I will do a reading for Paris Soirees and I'm really beginning to worry.
Some people suggest that it is about something I don't want to say. I check Louise Hay’s, Heal Your Body, and on page 46 it says about what I've got, "So mad you can't speak. Fear of speaking up. Resentment of authority." And the affirmation for it is, "I'm a free to ask for what I want. It is safe to express myself. I am at peace." I will do this and I have exactly three weeks to make it work. I tell my friends that I do want to say it. I just can't do it at great volume.
Meanwhile my dog has lost her hearing and she's going to a doggie chiropractor. She can now hear the sound of a kiss and a doggie clicker. Today I could swear she started barking because I was using the printer, an old behavior before loss.
Any further suggestions to "cure" me before I head off to Paris, I would love to hear from you. If I get desperate I have Prednisone, 30 mg. to take two days before and then 30 mg. the day before. Of course on Prednisone I will clean up the entire city, write a novel, repair all strife and cook 24/7 to feed the hungry.
The polyps? Maybe it was the visualizations or the vibration wand the chiropractor used on my dog AND me. I even visualize all the inflammation and voila.
My neighbor thinks that I have definitely gone off the deep end. And who knows. Maybe that's exactly where I should be!
